OTC Changes under Health Care Reform Effective January 1, 2011
The recently passed health care reform legislation will affect the eligibility of over the counter (OTC) purchases for those participating in Medical Spending Accounts and Health Reimbursement Arrangements beginning January 1st, 2011. The January 1st, 2011 date is effective for all plans regardless of plan year. Any OTC drugs and medicines will now require a prescription from a health care provider in order to be reimbursable.

Change to Reimbursement for Orthodontia Expenses
The new IRS regulations now allow reimbursement for orthodontia simply based on proof of payment - proof of installation is no longer required.

2010 Medical Mileage Rate announced by IRS
Effective 1/1/2010 mileage is reimbursable at 16.5 cents per mile. The IRS announced that the mileage rates for 2010 reflect generally lower transportation costs compared to a year ago.

How To Upload A Claim Online
A simple way to submit your reimbursement claim to Flores & Associates is by using the upload file function that can be found on the main page of this website once logging in to your personal account. Although we can not accept claims or receipts via email as it is an insecure way to transmit your personal health information, we have setup a secure interface to upload claims directly to us through our website. If you have scanning accessibility, you can take advantage of this great tool! You can find the upload file link on the upper right hand side of this page. In order for your document to upload correctly, please save the reimbursement forms or receipts in black and white only, and no greater than 300DPI. Also, make sure that you save your scanned images as TIF files or PDF files. Please do not use PDF packages as your file type.

Using the Account Info Feature
Navigating the Account Info feature is simple. You can choose between the different accounts in which you are enrolled as well as previous plan years.
